Mesivta Toras Maier
Mesivta Toras Maier was founded by Rabbi Avraham Shlomo Lehmann to serve the needs of our local community. His mission is centered on cultivating excellence and guiding each talmid to grow in Torah, avodas Hashem, and personal development. Rabbi Lehmann learned under Rav Meir Stern shlita and is a talmid of Rav Shlomo Wolbe zt”l, whose teachings continue to shape the Mesivta’s vision and direction. Under his leadership, the Mesivta has built a warm environment where every bochur is encouraged to develop his unique strengths.
Mesivta Toras Maier is privileged to welcome Rabbi Shamshon Levy as our new 9th-grade Rebbi for the 2026–27 year. A talmid of R’ Meir Stern and R’ Levi Dicker, Rabbi Levy brings over 15 years of experience teaching in Mesivtas and Batei Medrashim, including serving as the 9th-grade Rebbi in Mesivta Ohr Naftoli. His depth, experience, and signature enthusiasm will be a tremendous addition to our Mesivta as we continue to grow toward the future.
Our Mesivta is privileged to have Rabbi Shaul Lefkowitz shl’ita, who has served as a cornerstone of our yeshiva as both Menahel and 10th-grade Rebbi. Before joining Mesivta Toras Maier, Rabbi Lefkowitz spent 10 impactful years as Menahel in Norfolk, Virginia, where he was a pillar of the community. His continued presence and leadership are a tremendous bracha for our Mesivta and for the entire Passaic-Clifton community.
Our General Studies Principal is Rabbi Ephraim Pessin, who also serves as rav of Congregation Bais Meir Chevra Shas of Monsey. Rabbi Pessin is co-director of Mesila, a program dedicated to assisting families with financial planning, and his background includes over a decade of teaching its curriculum in Monsey high schools, as well as mentoring and lecturing for Areivim. His leadership, knowledge, and commitment to student growth greatly enhance the excellence of our General Studies program.
